Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 13, 2026 · Applies to the Junior Go-Getters app and the mygogetters.com website. Written for families — and to meet Apple App Store, Google Play, and COPPA requirements.
The short version
- No ads. No third-party analytics or trackers. We never sell data.
- Kid screens never show real money.
- Your family’s data lives on your own device — we don’t run accounts or store it on our servers.
- Proof photos are camera-only, screened transiently for safety, and never stored on our servers.
- Parents are in charge of everything — including deleting all of it, anytime.
Who we are & how to reach us
Junior Go-Getters is operated by My Go Getters LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). We are the “operator” of this app and website for the purposes of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

This policy covers the Junior Go-Getters app (web edition today, and the App Store and Google Play editions when released) and the mygogetters.com website. It describes what information is handled, how, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and the choices and rights you have.
Information handled by the app — and where it lives
Family data stays on your device. Everything your family creates — kid nicknames, avatars, quests, coins, streaks, rewards, and in-app messages — is stored locally on the device you use, in that device’s browser storage. We do not operate user accounts, and this information is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
We do not collect: real names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, precise location, advertising identifiers, device identifiers for tracking, or any behavioral profile — from parents or children.
Proof photos
Photo proof is captured live with the device camera only — the app never requests access to the photo library. When a photo is taken, a reduced-size copy is transmitted over an encrypted connection solely for one automated safety check: detecting whether any person is visible. This check runs on our hosting provider (Netlify) and our AI provider (Anthropic’s Claude API). The image is processed ephemerally — held in memory only long enough to return a pass/fail verdict — and is not stored, logged, or retained on our servers or by our providers, and is not used to train AI models. Photos that pass remain only on your family’s device; photos that fail are discarded immediately.
Website & operational data
Like nearly all websites, our hosting infrastructure records short-lived server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) used only for security and keeping the service running; these are retained briefly and then deleted. The mygogetters.com website uses Google Fonts to display its typefaces, which involves your browser requesting font files from Google. We use no advertising networks, no third-party analytics, and no tracking pixels anywhere.
Children’s privacy & parental consent (COPPA)
Junior Go-Getters is designed for children and families. We take children’s privacy seriously and built the app so that no personal information is collected online from children: child profiles are a nickname and a cartoon avatar stored on your device; children cannot enter contact details, share content publicly, communicate outside the family, or make purchases; and there is no advertising of any kind.
Parents are the gatekeepers. A parent or guardian sets up the app, creates the family, and controls every setting from PIN-protected Parent Headquarters — including whether any quest uses photo proof. By setting up and configuring the app for your family, you consent to the limited, ephemeral processing described in section 4.
Your rights as a parent. You may at any time: (a) review the information in your family’s app on your device; (b) delete it all via Parent Headquarters → Go-Getters → “Reset app data” (or by clearing the site’s browsing data); and (c) refuse or withdraw consent to photo screening by simply not enabling photo-proof quests, or by discontinuing use. We will never require a child to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate. For any request or question — including review or deletion — contact us at help@mygogetters.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Service providers — the only sharing we do
We never sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we share nothing for advertising. The only parties that process any data do so on our behalf, under terms that protect it at least as strongly as this policy:
- Netlify (app hosting and the photo-screening function; short-lived operational logs) — privacy policy
- Anthropic (ephemeral AI photo screening; commercial API terms prohibit training on this data) — privacy policy
- Google Fonts (website typefaces only) — privacy information
Purchases
The current web edition contains no real purchases — Quest Packs are free demonstration bundles. In the App Store and Google Play editions, optional purchases will be available only inside PIN-protected Parent Headquarters, behind a parental gate, processed entirely by Apple or Google under their payment, privacy, and refund policies. Prices are never shown on kid screens, and children cannot make purchases.
Data retention & deletion
Our retention policy is simple because we keep almost nothing: photo screening is ephemeral (seconds), operational logs are short-lived, and everything else lives on your device until you reset or clear it. Deleting the app’s data (Parent HQ → “Reset app data”) permanently removes your family’s information. You may also email help@mygogetters.com with any deletion request and we will honor it within 30 days.
Security
All connections use HTTPS encryption in transit. The credential used for photo screening is held server-side only and never ships in the app. Because family data stays on your device rather than in a central database, there is no server-side collection of family information to breach.
Your rights & choices
Wherever you live, you can access your family’s data (it’s on your device), delete it (reset in-app), and withdraw consent (stop using the app and reset). We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we do not use personal data for profiling or automated decision-making about people. Residents of jurisdictions with additional rights (including the EU/UK under GDPR and GDPR-K) may exercise them via help@mygogetters.com.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and post the revised version at this same address. For material changes affecting children’s information, we will provide prominent notice on this page — and where required, obtain fresh parental consent — before the change takes effect.
